Charles Barkley didn’t hold back in criticizing President Joe Biden during the latest episode of “King Charles.”
Despite admitting to voting for Biden in 2020, the 11-time NBA All-Star called out the Democratic Party for what he perceives as a failure to fulfill promises made to the Black community.
Barkley voiced his theory on why Black Americans are increasingly turning away from the Democratic Party, citing a perceived lack of consistent attention to their needs.
“The reason I think the Democratic Party and President Biden are losing Black votes is because they only seem to care about Black people every four years,” Barkley asserted. “They come into our neighborhoods making promises, but our communities remain unchanged. Our schools, our neighborhoods – they’re still the same.”

Expressing his own disappointment, Barkley revealed, “I voted Democratic every time because I believed it would benefit Black people and the less fortunate.”
He concluded his remarks by acknowledging the shifting attitudes within the Black community and their growing disillusionment with the Democratic Party: “I understand why Black people are abandoning the Democratic Party and seeking alternative options.”
While Barkley has been critical of President Biden and the Democratic Party, he has also expressed disdain for former President Donald Trump and his supporters.
The upcoming episode of “King Charles” is scheduled to air on CNN next Wednesday, where viewers can expect further insights from Barkley on pressing political issues.
