NBA legend Charles Barkley has strong words for NFL fans complaining about Taylor Swift’s presence during Kansas City Chiefs games, stating that such individuals are either “losers or jacka**es.”
Barkley defended the pop star’s impact on the sport, acknowledging the boost in TV ratings and the introduction of a new demographic to football due to her association with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
‘If you’re screaming at Taylor Swift saying she’s ruined football. You’re just a loser.
‘You’re just a loser or a jackass. One of the two.’
Sports broadcaster Bob Costas echoed Barkley’s sentiments, emphasizing the significant influence of the NFL and the Super Bowl’s entertainment elements, including halftime shows and commercials.
Fox analyst Colin Cowherd also defended networks for featuring Swift, criticizing those who voiced complaints, suggesting underlying issues of insecurity and potential sexism.
Cowherd highlighted the limited time Swift is actually shown during broadcasts and accused critics of insincere claims about wanting to focus solely on football.
