Chad Ochocinco is back in the NFL, but not on the playing field this time.
The six-time Pro Bowler played in the NFL from 2001 to 2011 for the Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots racking up over 11,000 career receiving yards and 67 touchdowns.
On Wednesday, the former superstar wide receiver announced that he will be joining the Las Vegas Raiders organization after having dinner with head coach Antonio Pierce.
Ochocinco took to Instagram Live to make his announcement:
“Yes, I got a job with the #Raiders. Not as a Staff Member but as a member of the Organization…I’m not sure what it is exactly yet. But I will be apart of the team and that’s an Amazing thing.”
It is unclear what role Ochocinco will have with the organization.
The Raiders also just hired former Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Luke Getsy to the same role with their team as well.
Antonio Pierce took over as head coach for Josh McDaniels after he was fired mid-season, and Pierce was retained after leading the team to a 5-4 record to close out the 2023 season.
