During the Cowboys’ playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers in the wildcard round, there was a noticeable disconnect between quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. The timing issues surfaced early in the first quarter and persisted throughout the game, eventually revealing a divergence in their perspectives.
Despite efforts from head coach Mike McCarthy and teammates, who offered a pep talk to Lamb on the bench during the game, Prescott later denied any problems between him and Lamb. He attributed their initial imperfections to the shared goal of perfection.

However, Lamb’s mother, Leta Ramirez, identified the disconnect as well. In recently discovered Facebook posts from the game day, Ramirez criticized Prescott and suggested that Lamb should consider joining another team for better success. One of her posts explicitly stated, “Dak isn’t it.”
Ramirez also commended Houston Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud, hinting that Prescott might not be genuinely focused on winning a Super Bowl ring. Her proposed solution to enhance Lamb’s chances involved the Cowboys parting ways with their star quarterback.
While Ramirez’s comments might be fueled by frustration, it’s evident that both she and her son were not pleased with Prescott during that time.
