CeeDee Lamb’s frustration was evident throughout the Dallas Cowboys’ 28-25 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. The star wide receiver, who had an uncharacteristically quiet game, has since acknowledged that he could have handled his emotions better during the game. The Cowboys found themselves down 28-6 at the start of the second half, and while they rallied late in an attempt to stage a comeback, it wasn’t enough to avoid their second loss of the season.
Lamb finished the game with only 4 catches for 67 yards, a far cry from his usual production. He also had a costly fumble and dropped a key pass that could have swung momentum in the Cowboys’ favor.
At one point, Lamb was caught on camera having a heated exchange with quarterback Dak Prescott on the sideline.
The conversation appeared tense, with Lamb seemingly demanding more involvement in the game, allegedly saying, “just get me the f—ing ball.”

Reflecting on the game a few days later, Lamb expressed regret, not only over his performance but also over his demeanor during the game. In a candid statement on Tuesday, he admitted that his frustration had gotten the better of him.
“Honestly, I have to be truthful with myself—I played a big part in that loss. A big part, honestly,” Lamb said. “My body language and attitude didn’t help the situation or the outcome of the game.”
Lamb didn’t shy away from taking accountability, acknowledging that he failed to lead by example in a game where the Cowboys needed him most.
“I failed myself,” Lamb admitted. “I let the game get to my head a little bit, but I know what I can do. I know what I bring to the table, and I know what I can do on that field. Going forward, there will be a difference.”
Lamb’s comments come at a crucial point in the Cowboys’ season. After holding out for much of the offseason due to contract negotiations, Lamb finally signed a lucrative extension that made him one of the highest-paid receivers in NFL history. However, through three games this season, Lamb has just 13 catches—a noticeable drop-off for a player who led the league with 135 receptions last year. Some analysts have speculated that Lamb’s slow start could be attributed to the time he missed during the offseason holdout, which may have affected his chemistry with Prescott and his overall readiness for the season.
Regardless of the cause, the Cowboys now find themselves at 1-2 and face a critical Week 4 matchup on the road against the New York Giants. While it may be early in the season, the pressure is mounting, and this upcoming game feels like a must-win for Dallas if they want to remain competitive in a tough NFC East division.
Lamb, for his part, seems determined to turn things around, both in terms of his individual performance and his leadership role within the team.
The Cowboys are counting on him to return to the form that made him one of the league’s top receivers last year, and if his words are any indication, Lamb is ready to make that adjustment.
With the season still young but the stakes rising, all eyes will be on how Lamb and the Cowboys respond in the weeks ahead.
