Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is reportedly exerting pressure for a new contract.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Lamb is not expected to participate in the start of Dallas’ voluntary offseason program on Monday as he awaits a contract renewal. His current deal includes a fully-guaranteed fifth-year option worth $17.199 million.
Lamb is coming off a standout season, leading the NFL in receptions with 135, ranking second in yards with 1,749, and third in touchdowns with 12. Despite his absence from the team facility, Cowboys beat reporter Todd Archer notes that Lamb has been staying in shape, training with quarterback Dak Prescott and other teammates at local facilities.

The Cowboys have expressed interest in securing Lamb with a long-term extension, although negotiations have been progressing slowly. The situation mirrors that of Vikings star receiver Justin Jefferson, who is also seeking a new deal.
However, the Cowboys face additional financial considerations, potentially needing to allocate funds for another significant contract for Prescott.
