The 23-year-old WNBA star, who became engaged to her college sweetheart Ben Felter in September 2024, shared the significance of the location they’ve chosen for their wedding. The Los Angeles Sparks standout revealed that the couple plans to tie the knot at Stanford University, the very place where their relationship blossomed.
A Proposal to Remember
Felter popped the question in front of the iconic Eiffel Tower during a romantic trip to Paris, perfectly timed with Fashion Week. The engagement marked a new chapter for the couple, who first met as Stanford freshmen and have been inseparable ever since.
Brink shared the emotional moment with her fans, describing it as “a dream come true” and adding that the choice to celebrate their union at Stanford was an easy one. “We want to have the wedding on campus. We met at Stanford our freshman year,” Brink said to People, reflecting on their journey together.
A Love That Started at Stanford
Brink and Felter have been dating for over three years. While Brink was making waves as a star on Stanford’s basketball team, Felter pursued his passion as a student-athlete on Stanford’s rowing team. Originally from Palo Alto, California, Felter rowed in the No. 5 seat on Stanford’s second Varsity Eight at the IRA Championships. His impressive collegiate career also included earning IRCA Scholar-Athlete honors and maintaining a spot on the honor roll.
The couple’s connection to Stanford remains strong, making it the perfect venue for their big day. Brink envisions the ceremony taking place at the university’s Memorial Church, affectionately known as “MemChu.”
“That’s probably as far as we’ve gotten with planning,” Brink admitted, laughing. “But we definitely need a wedding planner because it’s a lot. I don’t know how people plan weddings without one.”

A Supportive Partner
Brink praised Felter for his laid-back approach to wedding planning, noting that he has been incredibly supportive through the process. “He’s just like, ‘Whatever you want!’” she said. “He makes it so easy.”
Their engagement comes at a pivotal time for Brink, who is currently focused on recovering from an ACL tear in her left knee that cut her rookie WNBA season short. While the injury has been a challenge, Brink has found strength in Felter’s unwavering support. “He’s been a huge help during my recovery, and it’s been great to spend more time together while he’s getting his master’s at Stanford,” she shared.
Celebrating Milestones Together
The couple has a busy start to 2025 ahead, including their back-to-back birthdays—Felter’s on January 6 and Brink’s on December 31. “We always do a little joint celebration,” Brink revealed. “It’s nice to have that time together, especially with how busy our schedules are.”
As the inaugural season of the Unrivaled basketball league kicks off on January 17 in Miami, Brink will be actively supporting the league, even though she won’t be playing due to her recovery. Felter is planning to join her in Florida for part of the season.
“It’ll be so much fun to have him there,” Brink said. “My teammates love Ben because he’s the best. It’s always great to have all my people together.”
Looking Ahead
Brink is optimistic about her future, both personally and professionally. While she focuses on healing and preparing for the next phase of her basketball career, she’s also excited about planning her dream wedding and continuing to build a life with Felter.
“Being engaged to someone who is not just your partner but also your biggest supporter is such a blessing,” Brink said. “We’ve been through so much together, and I can’t wait to see what’s next for us.”
