Newton’s college journey commenced at the University of Florida, but he faced dismissal from the team due to an incident involving the alleged theft of a fellow student’s laptop, which he reportedly threw out of a window. Undeterred, he showcased his talent at the JuCo level, leading Blinn College to a national championship and successfully reentering the SEC.
Acknowledging the common trend among NCAA athletes who prioritize athletics over academics during their brief collegiate tenures, Newton’s candid admission is not an exception. In his case, the decision proved fruitful as he went on to achieve NFL MVP status, amassing over $133 million in career earnings and establishing various successful business ventures in his post-playing career.
