A resurfaced video showcasing USC quarterback Caleb Williams effortlessly launching a remarkable deep ball with a flick of his wrist has caught the attention of football enthusiasts.
As the 2024 NFL Draft approaches on April 25, Williams is widely regarded as a surefire candidate to be selected first overall by the Chicago Bears. This anticipation stems from the Bears acquiring the top pick from the Carolina Panthers, who traded it as part of a deal to select Bryce Young first overall in the previous year’s draft.
The viral video of Williams, originally shared by the NFL Rookie Watch X/Twitter account, continues to generate awe among fans for his remarkable throwing ability.

Speculation arose regarding whether the Bears would opt for a non-quarterback selection with the No. 1 pick or explore trading options. However, the decision was essentially solidified when the Bears traded Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a late-round pick, signaling their intention to draft Williams first overall.
In his final collegiate season, Williams boasted impressive statistics, completing 68.6 percent of his pass attempts for 3,633 yards and 30 touchdowns, with only five interceptions. Additionally, he contributed 136 rushing yards and 11 rushing scores.
With Williams set to join the Bears, expectations are high for an immediate impact. The team, which won seven games last season, is poised to become playoff contenders in 2024. The addition of star edge rusher Montez Sweat, acquired through a trade with Washington, along with new offensive weapons like Keenan Allen (acquired via trade with the Los Angeles Chargers) and D’Andre Swift (signed in free agency), should bolster Chicago’s roster.
Given Williams’ potential upgrade at quarterback over the inconsistent Fields, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Bears achieve double-digit wins and secure a postseason berth in the upcoming season.
