Caleb Williams, the highly touted quarterback prospect, is honing in on one team ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft, scheduled to commence in three weeks.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Williams recently visited the Chicago Bears, engaging in discussions with their front office and sharing dinner the night before. Rapoport clarified that the interaction appeared to be more of a casual meet-and-greet rather than a comprehensive evaluation by the Bears.
“He was in the facility yesterday (Wednesday) and actually had dinner the night before with Bears brass,” Rapoport said. “My understanding is several veteran players and younger players were also involved and it seems like more of a meet-and-greet get-to-know-you introduction, rather than a full evaluation by the Chicago Bears.”

The speculation suggests that Williams is strongly positioned to be selected by the Bears with the No. 1 overall pick, marking him as their prospective franchise quarterback following the recent departure of Justin Fields via trade.
Renowned for his standout collegiate career, Williams has emerged as the premier quarterback prospect in this year’s draft class. Beginning his journey at Oklahoma, he showcased his talent with a stellar 2021 season before transferring to USC under the guidance of Lincoln Riley in 2022.
Williams’ exceptional performance in 2022 earned him the prestigious Heisman Trophy, as he amassed impressive statistics with 4,537 passing yards and 42 touchdowns. Despite a slightly diminished output in 2023, with 3,633 passing yards and 30 touchdowns, his prowess remains undeniable.
As the anticipation builds for the upcoming NFL Draft, slated for April 25-27, all eyes are on Caleb Williams and his potential future with the Chicago Bears.
