USC quarterback Caleb Williams is widely regarded as the top quarterback prospect in the upcoming NFL draft scheduled for April. With the Chicago Bears holding the first pick, there’s a notable chance that Williams might become part of the Windy City team.
Recently, a narrative emerged, initiated by Colin Cowherd of Fox Sports, suggesting that Williams had no interest in playing football in Chicago. Cowherd stated on The Herd on Thursday, “I do not think it’s possible that Washington trades up and Chicago allows Washington to trade up because Caleb and his group do not want to go to Chicago.”
Following Cowherd’s remarks, Williams’s camp promptly countered the Fox Sports host’s reporting. Cowherd addressed this during his show on Friday, acknowledging the correction. “I got a call from the Caleb Williams camp, and they went, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Colin, we don’t want to be painted as anti-Chicago and we don’t want to be painted as anti-Bear,’” he said. “And they made it clear to me that they said, ‘Listen, we don’t want to go to a city that doesn’t care.’ Chicago cares…they’re big, loud, they’re passionate. They fire coaches all the time… and they did say there’s a path to succeed in Chicago.”

Presently, it seems that Williams would be content with the prospect of playing as the next starting quarterback for the Chicago Bears.
