Speculation on where Caleb Williams will play next season is reaching a fever pitch.
A significant clue about USC quarterback Caleb Williams’ potential destination has surfaced with the hiring of former Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury as the Las Vegas Raiders’ offensive coordinator under Antonio Pierce. Kingsbury had served as the quarterbacks coach at USC during the 2023 season, closely collaborating with Williams.
Colin Cowherd suggests that both Williams and his father are admirers of Kingsbury, implying that the Raiders could be a consideration for the talented quarterback, especially since they require a quarterback for the upcoming season.

However, there are a couple of challenges to this scenario.
Firstly, the Chicago Bears hold the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, while the Raiders are positioned at No. 13, unless they decide to trade up. Additionally, regardless of Williams’ preferences, he lacks leverage in determining his destination.
While the Bears might entertain trade offers for their top pick, the Raiders face constraints in assembling an attractive package. Several other teams vying for the first overall pick could present more enticing offers.
One potential strategy is shedding salary and including one or two players in a trade along with first-round draft picks, but this appears to be a challenging prospect at the moment.
