The Caitlin Clark Indiana Fever era has officially begun.
Excitement is buzzing in Indiana as the Fever welcomed their new star, Clark, with open arms on Wednesday morning.
A crowd had already gathered at the team’s practice facility to greet the No. 1 pick of the WNBA Draft. Clark’s arrival isn’t just a big deal for the team; it’s a momentous occasion for the league, which saw record ratings during the draft event.

Fresh from the draft, Clark expressed her readiness to tackle the challenges of professional basketball. “I don’t really feel like I have a rival,” she stated on Monday. “The WNBA is incredibly competitive right now. Every game feels like a rivalry because every team is brimming with talent. With less than 144 spots in the league, you have to bring your best every single game. That’s what I intend to do.”
The Fever are set to begin their preseason against the Dallas Wings on Friday, May 3, with their regular season kicking off on the road against the Connecticut Sun on May 14. Fans will have a chance to see Clark in action at home during one preseason game before her official regular season home debut on May 16 against the New York Liberty.
