WNBA star Caitlin Clark is living the dream of every Swiftie. The Indiana Fever athlete recently shared details about her unforgettable experience attending Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concerts and her interactions with the global superstar, as revealed in her new Time profile.
Clark, honored as Time’s Athlete of the Year, attended back-to-back Eras Tour shows at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis last month. The basketball phenom enjoyed the concerts in true VIP fashion, watching from a private suite and rubbing elbows with Swift’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, as well as Swift’s mother, Andrea Swift.
VIP Treatment and Sweet Surprises
After attending two of the three Indianapolis shows, Clark, 22, received a special surprise from Swift herself. The singer gifted her four bags of Eras Tour merchandise along with a personalized note.
According to Clark, the note expressed how “inspiring” she was to Swift and Kelce, and it included an exciting message: the couple was eager to attend one of Clark’s games. Swift even extended an invitation for Clark to attend a Chiefs game to see Kelce in action.
“It was just such a surreal experience,” Clark shared. “To be in that environment and to receive such kindness and recognition from Taylor was unbelievable.”
An Unforgettable Concert Experience
During the concerts, Clark fully embraced the Swiftie spirit, dancing, singing, and even exchanging friendship bracelets with fellow fans. Despite her VIP status, she was pleasantly surprised by how much attention she received from other concertgoers.
“People were just going crazy that I was there,” she told Time. “I thought everyone would be so focused on seeing Taylor, but it was the complete opposite. The energy was amazing.”
To ensure her safety at the packed stadium, Clark’s security team provided her with a 30-page PDF detailing how to navigate the event. “It was a lot to take in, but it was all worth it,” she added.

Travis Kelce on Meeting Caitlin Clark
Kelce, who also attended the concerts, spoke highly of meeting the basketball star. On his New Heights podcast, he recounted the interaction:
“It was fun. Saw Caitlin Clark out there, got to meet her,” the NFL tight end said. “She’s awesome. She loves being in Indianapolis and says it’s a fun city. We’re both true Midwesterners at heart, you know? Played high school, college, and now pro ball out here. It was cool catching up with her.”
Kelce noted Clark’s enthusiasm for the concert, saying, “She was into the show, for sure. She was just having fun with her friends and family, getting everyone to experience Taylor up on stage making 70,000 people go nuts for four hours.”
A True Swiftie
Kelce even revealed that this wasn’t Clark’s first Eras Tour experience. “I think this was her third or fourth show,” he said. “She’s a Swiftie through and through, man.”
For Clark, the concerts were the culmination of her love for Swift’s music and her appreciation for a performer who inspires millions, including herself.
Mutual Admiration
Clark’s connection with Swift and Kelce highlights a growing admiration between athletes and artists. Swift’s note to Clark and the potential for future game appearances suggest the beginning of a unique friendship that bridges their respective worlds.
As Clark continues to dominate on the court and embrace opportunities off it, this moment will undoubtedly stand out as a highlight of her year—a testament to how sports and music can bring people together in extraordinary ways.
