Caitlin Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes basketball career was going to end regardless of the result in Sunday afternoon’s National Championship game.
While Clark would have liked a different result in Iowa’s 87-75 loss to South Carolina, she still took the opportunity to deliver a heartfelt “thank you” to everyone who has supported her during her college career.
“Words cannot express my love for my teammates, coaches, fans and our university – Thanks for making my dreams come true. Wearing Iowa across my chest the last four years has been an honor. This place will always be home”
Clark received praise from many including South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley.
