Caitlin Clark’s first visit to Yankee Stadium turned into an unforgettable experience that went far beyond just watching a baseball game.
The Indiana Fever guard, along with her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, attended the doubleheader between the New York Yankees and the Texas Rangers on Saturday, August 10. However, their day at the iconic ballpark was more than just about catching the action on the field—they had the opportunity to meet and interact with some of the Yankees’ biggest stars.
Clark, 22, posed for photos with Yankees captain Aaron Judge and first baseman Anthony Rizzo, creating memories with two of the team’s most recognizable players.

She also snapped a picture wearing her custom No. 22 Yankees jersey, standing beside Juan Soto, who currently dons the same number for the baseball team.
But the highlight of Clark’s visit wasn’t just meeting the players; she actually joined them on the field for a game of catch, adding a personal touch to her experience. In addition to playing catch, Clark signed baseballs for fans, making their day as she shared in the excitement of the event. She even made a stop at the broadcasting booth during the game, where she shared her thoughts and experiences live on air.
During an interview with the YES Network, Clark revealed that Anthony Rizzo, 35, gave her a personal tour of the Yankees clubhouse, an experience she described as “amazing.” She praised the players for their down-to-earth attitudes, acknowledging the camaraderie that exists among professional athletes. “Meeting all of them, they’re just so down to earth,” Clark said. “They understand as another professional athlete that days get long. It’s fun to interact with other athletes.”
When asked about meeting Yankees captain Aaron Judge, 32, Clark admitted he was the player she was most excited to meet, though she joked that “everyone probably says that.” She marveled at Judge’s impressive stature, noting, “He’s way bigger than even people think. You know he’s big, but when you get next to him, it’s like, ‘Oh, my gosh. He could probably play football or just about any sport he wants to.’” She also described Judge as “down to earth” and “a good guy.”
Yankees manager Aaron Boone was equally impressed with the WNBA star, describing her as “really cool” and “impressive.” He shared that after meeting Clark in his office, he and others were left in awe of her presence. “It was just fun to see the amount of our guys that were kind of just starstruck being around her,” Boone said, reflecting on the impact of her visit.
Clark’s day at Yankee Stadium was a fitting highlight during the WNBA’s Olympic break, a period she spent enjoying some well-deserved time off. Prior to the visit, she vacationed in Mexico with McCaffery, 26, and even joined her Fever teammate Lexie Hull onstage during a concert by country music star Jordan Davis in Indianapolis.
As her memorable day at Yankee Stadium came to a close, Clark prepared to return to the court, where she and her Indiana Fever teammates are set to resume their season on Friday, August 16.
