Is Stefon Diggs on his way out of Buffalo?
It is a well-known fact amongst NFL fans that teams often publicly deny rumors of trades while privately considering them.
The Buffalo Bills seem to be no different when it comes to the possibility of moving wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
Although the team has not publicly announced any intention of parting with Diggs, recent reports suggest that they are still privately considering it, provided the price is right.
According to insider Benjamin Albright who appeared on the Broncos Country Tonight podcast, sources close to the organization have confirmed that the team would consider trading Diggs under the right circumstances, but would not admit to it publicly.
“I talked to some people in Buffalo on the condition of anonymity and they said that, ‘Publicly, we’re not moving him. Privately, we would consider it under the right circumstances.’”
While dealing their top offensive playmaker could potentially bring in a significant haul, the Bills are already thin at the wide receiver position, and Diggs was a key factor in their status as top Super Bowl contenders.
With only Gabe Davis and Khalil Shakir behind Diggs on the depth chart, it would be unwise for the Bills to trade their top offensive playmaker; such a move would be viewed as a step in the wrong direction.
