College athletes are now reaping the benefits of the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) regulations, allowing them to capitalize on their talents while still in school.
This groundbreaking change has resulted in increased earning potential for athletes even before they turn professional.
With these new guidelines in place, some college athletes have been fortunate enough to secure highly lucrative deals and opportunities.
One such athlete is Bryce Young, who experienced the positive impact of NIL during his time at Alabama.
However, since the rules did not come into effect until his second season with the Crimson Tide, Young had to find an alternative way to supplement his income.
During his freshman year, he worked as a DoorDash driver.

To maintain his anonymity, Young adopted a disguise, wearing a mask and hoodie while making deliveries.
Additionally, he only accepted orders that allowed for contactless delivery. Despite the hidden identity, Young shared that he rarely got recognized while moonlighting as a DoorDash driver.
This temporary job was a means for him to earn some extra money, especially at a time when NIL did not exist. Now, as the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft, Young no longer needs to seek additional employment.
He recently signed a significant four-year contract worth $37.95 million, marking the end of his DoorDash career and ensuring financial stability in his professional football journey.
