Bruce Springsteen took a page out of Travis Kelce’s playbook ahead of his Las Vegas concert last week, paying homage to the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end and his celebratory antics following their Super Bowl LVIII victory.
Performing in Sin City on March 22, the rock legend made a playful reference to Kelce’s post-game excitement, particularly his exuberant rendition of ‘Viva Las Vegas’ in the aftermath of the Chiefs’ triumph over the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium.
In a behind-the-scenes clip shared on his Instagram, Springsteen can be seen rallying his band members before taking the stage. Drawing inspiration from Kelce’s spirited performance, Springsteen invokes the football star’s famous cry, prompting one of his musicians to echo the iconic phrase, ‘Viva Las Vegas!’
Springsteen even makes a point of correctly pronouncing Kelce’s surname, as the NFL star had clarified the pronunciation in 2021, although Kelce himself later stated he was comfortable with either version.

During the concert, Springsteen & the E Street Band further honored the Vegas spirit by covering Elvis Presley’s classic tune ‘Viva Las Vegas.’
Kelce’s enthusiastic rendition of ‘Viva Las Vegas’ during his victory speech resonated deeply with fans, as he passionately addressed the Chiefs Kingdom while brandishing the Vince Lombardi Trophy. His call-and-response with the crowd, coupled with his declaration of aiming for a three-peat, created a memorable moment that left even his girlfriend Taylor Swift visibly moved.
As Kelce vowed to continue the team’s pursuit of success, Springsteen’s nod to his spirited celebration served as a fitting tribute, blending the worlds of rock and football in the vibrant atmosphere of Las Vegas.
