The Brooklyn Nets are reported to have turned down a blockbuster trade involving Houston Rockets star guard Jalen Green.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania is reporting that the Nets turned down an offer of forward Mikal Bridges in exchange for Jalen Green and multiple draft picks.
The Nets acquired Bridges in the deal that sent star forward Kevin Durant to the Phoenix Suns last year.
Bridges has been the Nets most consistent star since trading Durant and they obviously value him quite a bit.
Currently, the Nets and Rockets are both 11th in their respective conferences, but have quite different trajectories. The Nets havea record of 26-45 and are five and a half games back of the Atlanta Hawks for the final play-in spot.
Meanwhile, the Rockets are 35-35 and have made a resurgence of late having won eight straight games to place them just a game and a half out of the final play-in spot behind the Golden State Warriors.
