LeBron James had the support of his son and Los Angeles Lakers teammate, Bronny James, at the 2024 Paris Olympics!
Bronny, 19, was seen cheering for his father and Team USA Basketball at Bercy Arena in Paris. The 39-year-old Lakers star had an impressive game, scoring 12 points and grabbing three rebounds in the United States’ 122-87 quarterfinal victory over Brazil on Tuesday, August 6.
Bronny, dressed casually in a white shirt and black shorts, was all smiles in the stands. He watched as LeBron, along with NBA stars Stephen Curry and Devin Booker, led Team USA to secure their spot in the semifinal game against Serbia on Thursday.
Observers also noticed the girl sitting next to Bronny, which caught the attention of many.

The star-studded audience included rapper Snoop Dogg, who sat courtside next to WNBA star A’ja Wilson, whose next Olympic match is on Wednesday. Actress Taraji P. Henson and LeBron and Bronny’s agent, Rich Paul, were also spotted at Bercy Arena.
After the game, LeBron expressed his gratitude to reporters, including PEOPLE, saying, “It’s a blessing and an honor to still compete at this level and represent Team USA,” adding that it’s especially meaningful “at the later stage” of his basketball career.
The United States men’s team will face Serbia next, where they will go up against NBA MVP Nikola Jokic in the semifinal round. Both teams aim to play for the gold medal in Paris.
Before the victory over Brazil, LeBron was seen with his wife, Savannah, and their daughter, 9-year-old Zhuri Nova James. The trio braved the Paris rain to support the U.S. women’s beach volleyball team. During the family outing, cameras captured LeBron dancing, which amused onlookers and notably annoyed Zhuri.
On June 27, Bronny officially became his father’s teammate when the Lakers drafted him in the second round after he played one season for the USC Trojans. The selection drew some criticism, with accusations of nepotism, but Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka quickly dismissed these claims.
“He’s worked for everything that he’s gotten, including being selected today at No. 55,” Pelinka said, according to USA Today. “He is a young man that works incredibly hard. Those are the qualities we look for in drafting players and adding to our developmental core with the Lakers. In terms of his work ethic, I think we’ve all seen that lived out, too. He’s not a person that has ever taken shortcuts or expected or been entitled about basketball opportunities.”
Bronny’s journey to the Lakers and his performance at the Olympics highlight his dedication and potential, solidifying his place alongside his legendary father.
