Prayers to Bronny James.
Bronny James, a freshman at USC and the son of Lakers player LeBron James, was hospitalized on Monday after experiencing cardiac arrest and collapsing during a basketball practice.
According to a family spokesperson, the 18-year-old was initially placed in the ICU but is now in stable condition. The spokesperson stated that medical staff was able to treat Bronny and transport him to the hospital.
The James family has requested respect and privacy during this time and expressed gratitude to the USC medical and athletic staff. Bronny, a highly ranked recruit, joined USC this season and is part of their top-five incoming recruiting class.
This incident comes after another USC player, Vince Iwuchukwu, experienced cardiac arrest during a practice last summer but was cleared to play after being withheld from games initially.
Now we’ve received a pic of Bronny prior to his cardiac arrest. This is allegedly the last photo taken of him prior to his on court incident.
James, a talented 6-foot-3 combo guard, possesses exceptional intellect on both ends of the court.
Throughout his time at Sierra Canyon, he had an impressive high school career, averaging 14 points and five rebounds per game during his senior season.
His outstanding performance propelled him from a ranking outside the top-50 in the national recruiting standings at 247Sports to a place within the top 30 after an impressive 2022-23 season.
With his potential, James is projected to be a potential lottery pick in the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft.
Prayers out to Bronny
