Looks like not everyone is sold on LeBron James’ son. One NBA scout doesn’t believe Bronny James is ready for the NBA.
A few months ago, Bronny made the surprising decision to enter his name into the NBA draft, despite many feeling he should have stayed in school for another year.
This week, Bronny participated in the NBA Scouting Combine and did not receive glowing reviews for his performance.
On Thursday, ESPN’s Marc J. Spears reported that he had spoken to two NBA scouts, and one of them believed that Bronny was “not an NBA prospect.”
“If the Lakers don’t draft him, I don’t see anyone drafting him,” the scout said. “He should be a point guard based on his size, but he can’t run an offense. He’s a poor man’s Davion Mitchell. He is not an NBA prospect in my opinion.”

Bronny has interviewed with the Lakers, the team that currently employs his father, LeBron James Sr. The Lakers have expressed willingness to draft Bronny if it would keep LeBron with the team.
LeBron, however, has stated that playing with Bronny isn’t his top priority at the moment.
We’ll have to wait and see how this plays out on Draft night.
