Brittany Mahomes proudly shared that her son Bronze has made significant progress in breaking his “bad habit” of watching TV while eating.
“Update: we did try a few books and I was really engaging with him, asking lots of questions and explaining a lot,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories Monday, alongside a photo of her 1-year-old lying next to his stuffed animals. “He was pretty locked in and ate all his dinner—a huge step!!”
The mother of two, who shares daughter Sterling, 3, and Bronze with husband Patrick Mahomes, updated her followers after revealing that Bronze had developed the habit during a family vacation in Europe.

“Alright mamas or professionals, we started a bad habit with Bronze while on vacation, letting him watch TV when eating just to keep him calm and prevent tantrums in public,” she wrote. “He’s still not the best eater and will throw huge fits when trying to make him eat…so we really didn’t want to deal with that while on our trips.”
Brittany, currently pregnant with the couple’s third child, explained that she and the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, 28, have been working to “break” Bronze from this habit since returning home. However, Bronze began refusing to eat unless he could watch a show.
“He legit will not eat a single thing unless he gets a show, and then if he does, he’ll eat anything,” she shared. “So I need secrets on how to break this and get him to eat.”
Brittany then asked her followers to share any tips they might have.
The Mahomes family recently returned to Kansas City, Missouri, after spending time in Europe with friends Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. The couples enjoyed a double date after attending Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Amsterdam on July 6.
During the concert, Patrick and Brittany were seen sharing a sweet embrace as Swift, 34, performed her hit song “Lover.” The Mahomeses, who tied the knot in March 2022, appeared to be relishing their time together, both as a couple and as parents.
As Brittany navigates parenting challenges with Bronze, she continues to share her journey with honesty and openness, seeking advice and support from her followers while celebrating the small victories along the way.
