Brittany Mahomes quickly geared up for her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit photoshoot, as she revealed in an Instagram post on Thursday, May 30.
Brittany, a 28-year-old NFL WAG and the 2024 SI Rookie, shared that she was given just one week to prepare for the shoot in Belize, which involved showcasing a variety of swimwear.
In her Instagram caption, which was part of a partnership with OWYN protein, she addressed how she maintained her fitness on such short notice.
“People have asked me a lot what I did in the gym to get ‘Swimsuit Ready,'” she wrote. “Fun fact – I shot for @si_swimsuit on literally a week’s notice ?”
As a former soccer player, Brittany maintains her fitness year-round, which she emphasized in her post. “I always preach that staying consistent in the gym and fueling my body well is what helps me be the best version of myself year-round, not just during swimsuit season!” She also mentioned some of her key workouts for the shoot, such as single-leg deadlifts and banded hip thrusts.

Before the Super Bowl in February 2024, where her husband Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs to victory over the San Francisco 49ers, Brittany was announced as SI Swimsuit’s newest Rookie for their 60th anniversary issue, released on May 17. The photos from the shoot featured her in bold swimwear including a Mugler halter-neck one-piece with a dramatic cutout and a bikini paired with a knitted cowboy hat, nodding to her Texas roots.
On May 14, the day the special 60th anniversary issue of SI was unveiled, Brittany gave her followers a sneak peek behind the scenes of her Belize photoshoot.
She posted an Instagram video montage showing her journey from arriving in Belize in a pink sweatsuit to her preparation in hair and makeup, and finally to posing in a variety of striking swimsuits.
