Brittany Matthews Mahomes seems to be facing some criticism lately.
The power couple, Brittany and Patrick Mahomes, recently took part in GQ Sports’ Couples Quiz.
However, instead of being viewed as a cute and funny moment, it left many people upset with Brittany’s response to one question.
When Patrick asked her about his favorite cheat day meal, Brittany confidently answered “Fried Chicken,” and later changed it to “Chicken Fried steak” before Patrick revealed it was actually Mexican food.
Patrick Mahomes asked his wife, who he’s been with since high school, what his favorite cheat day meal is & she confidently said “FRIIIED CHICKEN ?”
……… his answer was Mexican food.

Unfortunately, some people on social media criticized Brittany’s answers because they believed it perpetuated stereotypes about Black people and chicken. It is important to note that Patrick Mahomes is of mixed race with a Black father and a white mother.

On a positive note, Patrick Mahomes has made history as a quarterback in the NFL.
Last season, he broke the record for the most yards in an NFL season, totaling 5,614 yards (5,250 yards passing, 358 yards rushing, and 6 yards receiving).
He also won the Super Bowl MVP award at Super Bowl 57, capping off a remarkable year. In the regular season, Mahomes led the NFL with 5,250 passing yards and 41 touchdowns, becoming the only quarterback to achieve over 5,000 passing yards and 40 touchdowns in a single season.
He was rightfully honored with the NFL MVP award as well.
Mahomes is the seventh quarterback in history to win both the NFL MVP and Super Bowl MVP in the same season.
Despite Brittany’s misstep in the quiz, there is no doubt that Patrick Mahomes is a remarkable and talented quarterback who will continue achieving great things.
