If anyone anticipated a legitimate, all-out brawl, they were in for a surprise.
The boxing showdown featuring Logan Paul and Dillon Danis concluded in chaos. Logan Paul, known for his YouTube roots and transition into combat sports, was on the verge of securing a clear unanimous decision victory over Dillon Danis, a popular MMA fighter and Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist, during their six-round exhibition match in Manchester, England. However, it will be officially recorded as a disqualification win.

In the waning moments of the fight, Danis was disqualified for attempting to execute a guillotine choke on Paul. Heading into the sixth round, Paul held a commanding 5-0 lead on all three judges’ scorecards. Earlier in that round, Danis had made an unsuccessful attempt to take Paul down, but Paul adeptly defended against it.
Chaos erupted in the ring, prompting security to intervene, after Danis resorted to this illicit maneuver.
“I’m sorry it ended that way,” Paul said. “Dillon Danis truly is a coward, just a dirty, dirty human being.”
The Paul vs. Danis bout served as the co-main event alongside Tommy Fury versus KSI. The event was promoted by KSI’s Misfits Boxing organization and was available for streaming on DAZN pay-per-view.
Throughout all six rounds, Paul systematically outclassed Danis, landing precise punches to both the head and body. Danis, making his boxing debut, struggled to mount any substantial offensive.
“(Danis) called himself a real fighter,” Paul said. “What are we talking about?”
Paul took a shot at Danis’s teammate, UFC star Conor McGregor. The social media sensation expressed his intention to return to WWE next but remained open to a potential 2024 boxing showdown with McGregor. Paul is emerging as a promising figure in professional wrestling.
“Hey, Conor McGregor. You see that?” Paul said. “I took your b—h, put him on a leash, and took him for a walk. Who’s the real fighter now?”
For Paul, this marked his return to the ring following a 2021 exhibition where he went the distance against boxing legend Floyd Mayweather. While this was Paul’s first official boxing victory, his professional record still officially stands at 0-1, with his sole pro bout being a split-decision loss to KSI in 2019.
On the other hand, Dillon Danis, recognized for his internet provocations and his role as one of Conor McGregor’s training partners at SBG Ireland, had not participated in combat sports since 2019. He holds a 2-0 record in MMA.
