“What have you done for me lately?” is the prevailing sentiment, even in Week 3, with some already calling for Bill Belichick’s removal.
Boston radio host Tony Massarotti recently fielded a question about which NFL head coach should be dismissed immediately, to which he responded, “Bill Belichick.”
Massarotti was quick to clarify that he had distanced himself from the Belichick supporter camp for several years.

“Why the surprise? I declared I’d let him go three years ago,” Massarotti elaborated. “Out. Farewell. Finished. It should have already occurred. The only thing preventing it is that pesky Shula record.”
For context, Tom E. Curran reported over the summer that Belichick was facing considerable pressure entering the season.
“He’s under significant scrutiny, and it’s been that way to varying degrees since 2019,” Curran noted.
Belichick’s post-Tom Brady era hasn’t yielded much success, though he did guide the Patriots to the playoffs in 2021 with Mac Jones as his quarterback.
The upcoming Sunday presents an opportunity for the Patriots to reverse their fortunes and secure their first win of the season, as they face the New York Jets.
