Milan Lucic and his wife Brittany are going through a divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, according to TMZ.
The filing comes five months after an incident involving alleged domestic violence, which led to Milan’s arrest.
Brittany filed for divorce on Monday evening. In the documents, she notes their separation date as November 17, 2023, the day before Milan was arrested for allegedly assaulting her during an altercation over his phone’s whereabouts. Although Milan faced charges of assault and battery on a family member, the case was dismissed in February when Brittany chose not to testify against him.

In her divorce filing, Brittany is seeking custody of their three children—two daughters, Valentina born in 2013, Nikolina in 2015, and a son, Milan Jr., born in 2018. She is also requesting spousal support and has asked for supervised visitation for Milan with the children.
Following his arrest, Milan was placed on an indefinite leave of absence by the Bruins and has not played since. The team and its head coach, Jim Montgomery, expressed their seriousness about the matter and their commitment to supporting the Lucic family during this time, emphasizing respect for their privacy.
Lucic is currently in his 17th NHL season but is missing the Bruins’ ongoing playoff series against the Toronto Maple Leafs, which is tied with each team having won one game. Game 3 is scheduled to take place in Toronto at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
