Jason Kelce has been a consistent presence in recent headlines. Responding to accusations from Philadelphia Eagles star center Kelce, Buffalo Bills veteran defensive tackle Jordan Phillips addressed claims of being a dirty player.
Kelce voiced displeasure over a play by Phillips during the Eagles’ Week 12 home game against Buffalo at Lincoln Financial Field, where he alleged that Phillips attempted to injure teammate and guard Cam Jurgens. Kelce described it as “bull (expletive)” and suggested Phillips should face a fine.
In response, Phillips, as reported by Thad Brown of WROC-TV, retorted against Kelce’s accusations. He accused the future Hall of Famer of targeting knees during the Eagles’ infamous “tush push” play and took a swipe at Kelce’s newfound voice through a podcast co-hosted with his brother, Travis Kelce:
“When you look at the Tush Push, he dives at somebody’s knees every play and tries to roll them up. For him to speak on somebody being dirty, I don’t think he has any right or any means to call for a fine when he does a whole bunch of stuff. I think it’s crazy for him to even mention that.
I’m 335lbs; how am I going to stop regardless? How do I know that the ball wasn’t going? After I saw the ball move, I put my eyes on him and I’m going to go…

“He is a well-respected guy around the league for whatever reason. Now he suddenly has a voice because he’s on his brother’s podcast and he thinks he can use it. But the way he’s using his voice doesn’t make any sense.”
The likelihood of Phillips and Kelce crossing paths again this season appears slim unless the Bills and Eagles meet in Super Bowl 58, given Buffalo’s current standing at 6-6. While Phillips is set for free agency in 2024, Kelce has hinted at retirement in the near future, making an NFL-level reunion less probable.
Following a Week 12 overtime victory against Buffalo, Philadelphia went on to lose to the San Francisco 49ers in the subsequent week. Coming out of their bye week, the Bills aim to surpass a .500 record as they face the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
