On the latest episode of Real Time with Bill Maher, the HBO host began by humorously addressing right-wing conspiracy theories surrounding the romance between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, mocking the idea that it’s engineered for political endorsements during the 2024 Super Bowl.
Maher dismissed the conspiracy, calling the right wing “mental” for suggesting the Pentagon orchestrated the romance as a psychological operation (psyop). According to the theory, the NFL is in on it, planning a rigged season to set up a Super Bowl halftime endorsement of Joe Biden by Swift and Kelce.
Maher sarcastically remarked, “Abort! They’re onto us!” and questioned the idea that the entire romance was engineered to influence an election. He humorously suggested a simpler explanation, saying, “Maybe just the popular girl is dating the football player.”

The host then playfully teased the relationship’s high school vibe, portraying it as a classic tale of the popular girl dating the football star.
The episode also featured an interview with Michael Render (Killer Mike) from Run the Jewels and a panel discussion with Gov. Chris Sununu and Jessica Tarlov.
These conspiracies will most likely continue up until kickoff.
