Bill Maher speculated that Travis Kelce will break up with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, when she least expects it.
“He’s gonna dump her, though, you know that,” Maher said to “Hawk Tuah Girl” Haley Welch on Monday’s episode of his “Club Random” podcast. “With her, it’s like the Gatorade at the Super Bowl, you know you’re gonna get dumped. You just don’t know when.”
Welch, a longtime fan of the 14-time Grammy winner considered the possibility with a touch of optimism. “You gotta think about it this way,” the 21-year-old explained. “If he does that, can you imagine the next album we’re gonna get off of that?”
“It won’t be ‘F–k John Mayer’ no more, it will be ‘F–k Travis,’” she continued, referencing Swift’s infamous two-month romance with John Mayer in 2009 that led to her top breakup hit “Dear John.”

Maher criticized the “Cruel Summer” songstress as “very tacky” for continuing to write and sing songs about her exes. “It does seem like such a recurrent theme,” he said. “At some point, you just wanna say, ‘Maybe you should write a song called “Maybe It’s Me.”‘”
Elsewhere in the episode, Maher heavily criticized Swift for attending Kansas City Chiefs games in support of Kelce while dressed in Chiefs red. “I’m sure she’s a lovely person, but the whole thing with the football player,” he added. “I just felt like 35 was a little old to be like, ‘My boyfriend’s a football player and I wear his jersey to the game with his number on it!’ I mean, come on.”
Welch defended the “Lover” singer, saying, “Whatever makes her happy. If that’s what she wants to do and it makes her happy, it ain’t got nothin’ to do with me.”
Swift famously made her debut at a Chiefs game in September 2023 after secretly dating Kelce, 34, since July of that year. Since then, she has attended several matches alongside her new BFF Brittany Mahomes and Kelce family matriarch Donna Kelce.
Travis and Taylor’s relationship has flourished off the field as well, with the couple jetting off on several luxury vacations together. In recent months, Kelce has shown his support for Swift by attending many of her Eras Tour stops in Europe.
Sources previously told Page Six that the couple has plans to get engaged this summer, adding yet another layer of interest to their high-profile romance.
