Bill Belichick’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, is making headlines not just for her relationship with the legendary NFL coach but for her fiery response to recent comments made about her cheerleading career. The former Bridgewater State University cheerleader took to Instagram on Wednesday to flaunt her national championship ring and directly address a Boston radio personality who had questioned her cheerleading credentials.
In a bold Instagram post, Hudson, a member of the eight-time National Champion cheerleading squad at Bridgewater State, issued a challenge to Winnie Akoury, a radio host from Kiss 108’s Billy & Lisa in the Morning. Akoury had previously made dismissive remarks about Hudson’s Division III cheerleading background, which didn’t sit well with the young athlete.
“@inwinniesworld I would like to extend an invitation for you to attend the winter try-out for the 8x National Champion Cheerleading Program – @BSU_Cheerleading,” Hudson wrote in her post. “And, since you are SO confident that you could make the team (as you stated LIVE on the air, twice), I’d love for you to bring a @Kiss108 camera crew to film your undeniable domination of our pathetic little DIII cheerleading program.”
Hudson wasn’t done there. She punctuated her message with the hashtags “don’t poke the bear” and “cheerleading is a sport” before delivering the final blow: “Kiss my… National Championship Ring.” The post, which showcased Hudson proudly wearing her championship ring, quickly gained attention, including a notable “like” from none other than Belichick, 72, himself.
The post came in response to comments made by Akoury during a segment in which she downplayed Hudson’s cheerleading accomplishments, suggesting that Division III cheerleading wasn’t at the same competitive level as other divisions.
In one clip played back on Thursday, Akoury remarked, “She was Bridgewater State’s cheerleader, which is Division III, which isn’t even like competition level,” and confidently added, “I could have been a Bridgewater State cheerleader.”
Kiss 108’s social media team leaned into the drama, asking their followers on Thursday, “Winnie was called out by Bill Belichick’s girlfriend Jordon, should she accept the challenge?” Fans were left wondering whether Akoury would take Hudson up on the offer to try out for the champion squad.
Hudson, who proudly lists herself as a 2021 NCA [National Cheerleaders Association] Collegiate Champion in her Instagram bio, is no stranger to high-level competition.
And with a national title under her belt, she was quick to defend the legitimacy of her sport, drawing attention to the hard work and dedication involved in cheerleading at any level.
Her relationship with Belichick was first publicly revealed in June 2023, and the couple has garnered significant media attention since then. Belichick, a six-time Super Bowl-winning coach, recently parted ways with the New England Patriots after a legendary 24-year reign.
While he has shifted his focus to sports media roles this season, insiders suggest that he is still contemplating a return to coaching, potentially in 2025.
According to a source who spoke with the Daily Mail earlier this month, Belichick is at a “crossroads” in both his professional and personal life. “Bill is in a bit of a crossroads on what he would like to do for his future. There is still a drive to coach again and break the wins record, but his life now isn’t that bad as he has been enjoying doing TV and absolutely enjoying his relationship with his girlfriend Jordon.”
The source added that Belichick’s blossoming romance with Hudson could be leading to something more permanent: “He wants to be with her all of the time, but she is pushing him to see the options that he will have for next season because she knows that makes him happy.”
As Belichick enjoys his time away from the sidelines and his relationship with Hudson grows stronger, it seems the couple has found a balance between their individual pursuits. For now, Hudson remains focused on standing up for herself and her accomplishments, with Belichick quietly offering his support from the sidelines—of Instagram, that is.
Whether Akoury will take Hudson up on her cheerleading challenge remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: Jordon Hudson is not afraid to defend her title.
