Bill Belichick’s return to coaching may be imminent.
As per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Atlanta Falcons have scheduled a second interview with Belichick, with the meeting set for this weekend. Rapoport noted, “Former #Patriots coach Bill Belichick will have a second interview with the #Falcons brass this weekend after meeting with owner Arthur Blank 1-on-1 this past week. Things are ramping up with the greatest coach of all time…”
Should the upcoming meeting prove successful, the Falcons might extend a coaching offer to Belichick.
While the quarterback position for the Falcons remains uncertain, the rest of the roster is well-constructed for immediate contention in the NFC South.

ESPN’s Dan Graziano has already made a prediction, foreseeing Belichick’s move to Atlanta. Graziano wrote, “My prediction for the next Falcons coach: Bill Belichick. I think he is the clear favorite here unless another job opens that has a quarterback already in place and offers him a chance to win those 15 games he needs to pass Don Shula atop the all-time list in short order.”
The question remains whether Belichick, like Tom Brady in 2020, will make his mark in the NFC South. The answer to whether Belichick is bound for the ATL to pursue another Super Bowl victory before retiring seems imminent.
