There is a possibility that Bill Belichick will reunite with some of his former coaches when he takes on his coaching role next year.
According to Greg Bedard of Boston Sports Journal, there’s talk in the league that Belichick aims to “get the band back together” for the upcoming season and beyond.
This reunion could potentially include coaches like Josh McDaniels, Bill O’Brien, Joe Judge, and Matt Patricia, all of whom had stints working under Belichick during his more than two decades with the New England Patriots.

“The scuttlebutt among the league is that they think Bill’s going to get the band back together,” Bedard said, via NESN. “With McDaniels, O’Brien, Joe Judge, Matt Patricia — all this stuff.”
Currently, Belichick is a strong contender for the Atlanta Falcons coaching position. He is expected to undergo a second interview with the team this weekend, possibly leading to an offer.
The prospect of Belichick coaching the team that experienced a historic 28-3 lead collapse to his former team in Super Bowl LI adds an intriguing element to the situation.
Known for his reliance on coaches he trusts, Belichick’s coaching tenure has been characterized by a consistent approach. It’s reasonable to expect that he will bring in coaches he has a good rapport with wherever he decides to coach next.
