Bill Belichick, the head coach of the New England Patriots, appears to be going through a challenging phase in his long-term relationship with Linda Holliday.
This personal matter has garnered attention just days before the start of the 2023 NFL season, with the Patriots facing off against the defending NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles.
According to a report by Page Six, the legendary coach and Holliday have been engaged in a protracted and on-and-off breakup for almost a year.
Interestingly, despite their relationship troubles, it is said that Holliday has developed a liking for Belichick’s Nantucket, Massachusetts, residence and wishes to remain in the area.
Belichick and Holliday have been together since 2007, following Belichick’s divorce from Debby Clarke in 2006.
Holliday also serves as the executive director of the Bill Belichick Foundation, a role that, according to Page Six, has complicated certain matters, along with past criticisms she has expressed on social media.
According to the report, team officials are anxiously speculating about what Holliday might reveal following their separation.

Notably, Holliday still features Belichick in her Instagram profile picture, although she has not posted anything on her account for approximately five and a half months.
Meanwhile, Bill Belichick is focused on getting back to business as the Patriots aim to bounce back after missing the playoffs in two of the last three seasons. The team concluded the 2022 season with an 8-9 record.
