Big Dom has become a well-known figure in the NFL community.
During the season, Dom DiSandro, the head of security for the Philadelphia Eagles, gained attention when he was ejected from the game against the San Francisco 49ers. The incident involved contact with 49ers defender Dre Greenlaw, who retaliated with a swipe.
The video of the altercation drew attention, with ESPN noting, “Dre Greenlaw was called for a personal foul after this interaction with Eagles security staffer Dom DiSandro. Both were ejected from the game.”
Following the incident, Big Dom received a suspension for the remainder of the season. Since his absence, the Eagles’ performance has noticeably declined, with a record of 1-6. When Big Dom was present on the sideline, the team had a record of 10-1.

As the Eagles’ head of security, Big Dom is considered Nick Sirianni’s right-hand man. He is frequently seen alongside the head coach during games, postgame handshakes, and when moving to and from the field.
Entering his 25th season with the Eagles, Big Dom has been a constant presence with the NFC East franchise since before the turn of the century. His official title, according to the Eagles, is “senior advisor to the general manager/chief security officer.” Big Dom has undoubtedly become a fan favorite in Philadelphia.
