Brooklyn Nets guard Ben Simmons made quite the impression at the Met Gala on Monday night, captivating attendees and media alike with his attire.
However, NBA fans wasted no time in crafting a recurring joke about his outfit choice.
Simmons donned a striking ensemble by Thom Browne, featuring a black suit adorned with sequins and a plaid design at the top, complemented by an overcoat echoing the same pattern.
However, fans were quick to make joke about his very interesting briefcase which featured a clock on it.

Simmons has encountered numerous setbacks throughout his NBA career, often sidelined by injuries and mental health challenges.
Fans of course took to X to poke fun at Simmons, highlighting his limited “time” on the court and the dwindling “clock” of his NBA career.
Since the 2021-22 season, Simmons has played in only 57 games.
This past season with the Nets, Simmons was limited to only 15 games due to injury.
Simmons is a three-time NBA All-Star while he was with the Philadelphia 76ers, but he has been basically a no-show since being traded to then Brooklyn Nets in the James Harden trade back in 2022.
