Donna Kelce is making waves with her Hallmark debut, as shown in a delightful behind-the-scenes video.
On Sunday, July 21, actor Tyler Hynes shared a short clip on Instagram from the set of “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story,” featuring several cast members at the iconic GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
In the video, Donna Kelce, 71, can be seen enthusiastically clapping while proudly wearing her son Travis Kelce’s number 87 jersey. Later, she reappears, posing with fellow cast members in what appears to be a cozy restaurant setting. Hynes, 38, captioned the Instagram video with, “Hitting the field this holiday season…? @chiefs ??@hallmarkchannel.”
Hallmark recently announced that Donna Kelce, mother to NFL stars Travis and Jason Kelce, would be joining the cast of their first-ever NFL-affiliated romantic comedy, “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story.” According to the press release on July 13, Donna will portray the manager of Norma & Nic’s, a beloved Kansas City BBQ restaurant.
The film follows Alana Higman (played by Hunter King), a devoted Kansas City Chiefs superfan competing for the “Fan of the Year” title. Derrick (played by Hynes), the team’s director of fan engagement, must determine if Alana and her family are truly the biggest supporters in Kansas City.

“Holiday Touchdown” is currently being filmed around Kansas City and boasts a star-studded cast, including Ed Begley Jr., Diedrich Bader, Jenna Bush Hager, Catrick Mahomes, Megyn Price, Richard Riehle, and Christine Ebersole. The Chiefs’ head coach Andy Reid, along with players Trey Smith, Mecole Hardman Jr., Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and George Karlaftis, are also slated to make cameo appearances.
The announcement of the film comes almost a year after Travis Kelce began his highly publicized relationship with Taylor Swift.
The couple, who started dating in July 2023, have been very supportive of each other’s careers. Travis has attended several of Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour shows, while Swift has been a regular presence at Chiefs games, including the Super Bowl, where the team claimed victory for the second consecutive year.
“There’s something about the two brands. The two fandoms are paralleled and similar in their passion and their purity for what they love. Coming together seemed perfect,” Hynes told Us Weekly on July 13 about the upcoming rom-com.
Donna Kelce’s involvement in “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story” brings a unique blend of football and festive romance to the screen, promising a heartwarming and entertaining experience for fans of both the NFL and Hallmark Channel.
