Experiencing an unexpected echo of your own voice during a live radio interview can be quite disconcerting, as ESPN’s Courtney Cronin found out during a recent appearance on a Chicago radio show.
Scheduled to feature on ESPN Chicago’s “Kap & J. Hood Morning Show” on Friday, Cronin was discussing the potential landing of expected No. 1 overall pick, Caleb Williams, with the Bears on draft night. However, she became visibly irritated by the echo effect she heard while speaking.
Reacting to the frustrating situation, Cronin abruptly removed her headphones and audibly expressed her frustration with a candid “Alright, f–k this” before terminating the interview altogether.
Host David Kaplan and his co-host were taken aback by the unexpected turn of events and promised to rectify the technical issue in an attempt to bring Cronin back on air.

Details surrounding Cronin’s departure from the show remain unclear, with reports suggesting she may have been disconnected either due to the station’s technical glitch or her own audio feed issues.
As of now, Cronin has not addressed the incident publicly. However, she later appeared on “SportsCenter” for a live segment, where she refrained from using any explicit language. During this appearance, she mentioned that Williams was impressed by the Bears’ prospects as they prepare for the upcoming draft.
Cronin, previously associated with the San Jose Mercury News, joined ESPN and initially covered the Vikings before transitioning to cover the Bears beat in Chicago.
