In a stunning turn of events, Bad Bunny, the internationally acclaimed music superstar, has managed to poach clients from Scott Boras, the renowned top agent in baseball, confirming the new reality we live in. Boras, who represents approximately 175 professional baseball players through Boras Corporation, is Forbes’ ‘Most Powerful Sports Agent in the World’. The agency has negotiated nine $200 million+ MLB contracts, making it unbeatable in the industry.
Part of Boras’ portfolio was Francisco Alvarez, the Venezuelan catcher who recently signed with the Mets and is considered their top prospect. However, Bad Bunny’s new venture, Rimas Sports, co-founded with fellow executives, Noah Assad and Jonathan Miranda, with baseball legend Ivan ‘Pudge’ Rodriguez as an ambassador, has convinced Alvarez to switch representation to agent William Arroyo.
