Ayesha Curry is up in arms.
The wife of Steph Curry has expressed her displeasure with how her appearance on Red Table Talk was edited.
During the 2019 episode, Curry discussed the anxiety she felt as a breastfeeding mother. She was also asked about the female attention directed towards her husband and NBA star, Stephen Curry.
The show portrayed Curry in a negative light and made her “sound crazy,” she claims.
In the episode, Ayesha opened up about how she deals with the attention that her husband receives from female fans.
“Stephen is very nice by nature and he’s very talkative,” she explained. “Everything is always very friendly and sometimes to the point where I’m like, I’m a grown woman so I’ll just insert myself. I’ll be like, ‘Hello. How are you doing?'”
She added, “The ladies will always be lurking, hoping for their moment and waiting. But for me, I honestly hate it.”
In a recent interview with Insider, Ayesha Curry shared that she has begun therapy and is stepping away from the spotlight. She plans to focus on charity work and her lifestyle company, Sweet July, which supports Black- and women-owned small businesses.
But the show “was edited in a way that made me sound crazy,” she says. “It’s not what I said, and the context was weird. Yeah. I took that one personally.”
Additionally, Curry has decided to keep her children out of the public eye.
Despite the challenges, Ayesha and Stephen celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2021 by renewing their vows.
