After the proposal, the man embraced the Chiefs mascot before he embraced his fiancée! This unorthodox order of events raised eyebrows, leaving many wondering how he could have done that.
Some argue that proposing at sporting events always tends to evoke mixed reactions, with many believing it’s not the right time or place for such a gesture.
Business Insider even ranked sporting events as the top worst place to propose. They remarked, “Unless your partner is an incredibly dedicated (and I mean INCREDIBLY dedicated) fan of the team whose stadium you’re at, this proposal is a definite no-go.”
They went on to explain, “First, if your partner declines, you’ll subject the entire stadium to second-hand embarrassment, and the moment will end up on YouTube. Second, if they say yes, do you really want everyone (including your new fiancé) to shift their attention back to the game mere seconds after one of the most significant moments in your life?”
Meanwhile, on the field, the Chiefs were leading the Dolphins with a score of 21-0, so hopefully, it was a joyful ending for everyone involved.
