A recorded phone conversation between former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer and his accuser, Lindsey Hill, regarding their sexual encounter has been released on YouTube as of Thursday.
The two recently settled their legal dispute, and Bauer has made public damning messages from Hill to her friends.
In the phone call from May 22, 2021, Hill begins by congratulating Bauer on his impressive 11-strikeout performance the previous night. According to the YouTube description, this call was surreptitiously recorded by the police, with two officers present next to Hill during the conversation.

During the call, Bauer asks Hill about her well-being, and she expresses difficulty processing the events of their encounter. They both appear uncertain about how Hill sustained facial injuries. Bauer mentions that Hill had asked him to “hit” her and references their discussion about a “safe word.”
Bauer states, “I would never do that to you outside of what we had talked about.” Hill mentions her blurry recollection of the encounter as she drifted in and out of consciousness, asking, “So, I did ask you to hit me?”
Bauer confirms her question with a “Yeah.”
Hill explains that she was in severe pain and had no memory of requesting Bauer to hit her. Bauer insists he didn’t hit her forcefully and recalls checking on her multiple times, asking if she wanted to stop or if she was okay. He emphasizes that causing harm was never the intention.
Hill describes having “two black eyes and a swollen jaw” and reveals that she was hospitalized with a concussion. She inquires about their pre-established boundaries, with Bauer mentioning Hill’s mention of “slapping in the face” during their prior discussions.
Hill asserts that she never consented to what transpired, including punching, leading to her hospitalization. Bauer maintains that he repeatedly sought her consent to ensure he wasn’t overstepping any boundaries.
Hill recalls using the “safe word” because of pain during specific actions. She clarifies that she didn’t want to be punched and expresses surprise because they hadn’t discussed this aspect.
Bauer acknowledges a miscommunication and admits he should have clarified their boundaries better. Hill questions Bauer’s assumption that she had experience with rough sex, and he acknowledges that he should have discussed it further.
Bauer mentions Hill telling him that “fingers down the throat” was off-limits, while Hill says she doesn’t remember him asking if she was okay during the encounter.
The conversation comes in the context of Bauer’s suspension by Major League Baseball, initially equivalent to two full seasons but later shortened to 194 games. He played the 2023 season in Japan.
Bauer commented earlier this week, expressing his desire to move forward, focus on his career, and entertain fans worldwide without further distractions.
