Davante Adams may already have his sights set on a specific destination for his next team. According to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, teams engaged in trade discussions for the Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver believe Adams is maneuvering behind the scenes to orchestrate a trade that would bring him back together with a familiar face.
Adams is reportedly interested in joining the New York Jets, where he could reunite with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, rekindling the chemistry they built during their time together with the Green Bay Packers.
Adams spent the first eight seasons of his career in Green Bay, with Rodgers as his primary quarterback. Together, they formed one of the most dominant quarterback-receiver duos in recent NFL history. In 116 games together, Adams hauled in 669 receptions for 8,121 yards and an impressive 73 touchdowns.
Their on-field connection helped Adams earn five Pro Bowl selections and two All-Pro honors, cementing him as one of the league’s elite receivers.

However, in March 2022, the Packers traded Adams to the Raiders in exchange for a first-round and a second-round pick. The move reunited him with his college quarterback, Derek Carr, providing Adams with a familiar partner under center.
But that reunion was short-lived, as Carr left the Raiders after the 2022 season to join the New Orleans Saints, leaving Adams in a less stable quarterback situation.
Now, with the Raiders’ quarterback situation in flux, it seems Adams is trying to engineer a move to New York, where he could once again catch passes from Rodgers.
The potential reunion between Adams and Rodgers would likely elevate the Jets’ offense, offering the team a potent weapon as they aim to make a push in the competitive AFC.
Though nothing is official yet, the possibility of Adams joining the Jets would not only reunite two former Packers stars but also send shockwaves through the NFL. For now, teams around the league are closely watching to see if Adams’s preferred destination will become reality.
