Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is facing legal issues before taking his first NFL snap.
According to ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss, Harrison is being sued by sports apparel and collectibles behemoth Fanatics. The lawsuit revolves around an alleged breach of a contract that Harrison reportedly signed with Fanatics in May 2023.
Harrison’s representatives contend that the contract “does not exist,” as noted in the report. Details of the alleged breach have been omitted from the public lawsuit documents.
The disputed contract is said to have been valued at over $1 million, involving engagements like autographs, signed trading cards, game-worn apparel, and additional marketing opportunities.
“The Official Harrison Collection LLC” is also named as a defendant in the lawsuit. Harrison’s autographed and game-worn items are currently being sold online with prices ranging from $79.99 to $549.99.

Fanatics alleges that Harrison was among several college athletes to whom they offered a multi-year licensing agreement in 2023. Their initial, non-exclusive agreement was signed in March 2023.
The company claims that discussions for a more extensive deal started in April 2023, leading to a binding term sheet on May 16, 2023. According to the lawsuit, Harrison’s team received a substantial payment when the deal was finalized on May 18, 2023.
Harrison was picked fourth overall by the Cardinals in the 2024 NFL Draft after a stellar final season at Ohio State, where he made 67 receptions for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns over 12 games.
