Not the Manning family?
The Manning family and new Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning have faced criticism for going back on their previous statement about not allowing him to take advantage of his name, image, and likeness until he became a starter.
Despite being one of the most famous college players in the nation, they had insisted on this condition.
However, it was recently announced that the 18-year-old has signed his first endorsement deal with trading card company Panini.
“This partnership is the quarterback’s first NIL agreement and is a multiyear deal that will see Panini create trading cards and will include exclusive autographs from Manning. The first release will be a one-of-one Prizm black autographed card that will be auctioned this week on Panini’s website,” VanHaaren wrote on.

Fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment with the Manning family’s change in position. Some fans believed that Manning had to earn a starting job before signing any NIL deals.
Thought he wasn’t accepting anything until he became the starter ? https://t.co/u4tk8hQ0ZX

I thought the family said they were not doing any NIL deals until he was starting?

I thought the family said he had to earn a starting job before NIL…I mean good for him but any insight on the change in position? He'll rack up a nice pile of $$

However, it should be noted that all proceeds from the auction will go to St. David’s Healthcare and St. David’s Foundation in Austin, and Manning will not receive any payment until he starts.
