Shannon Sharpe continues to be the butt of the joke on the internet.
Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown found himself embroiled in controversy once again, this time targeting both Taylor Swift and First Take co-host Shannon Sharpe in a series of provocative tweets.
In his trademark fashion, Brown utilized the hashtag #CTESPN while likening Sharpe to Rex from the Toy Story franchise. Sharing a photo of Rex alongside the caption, “I can’t explain why, but this reminds me of Shannon Sharpe,” Brown followed up with a side-by-side comparison of Sharpe and Rex striking similar poses.
Brown’s mockery of Sharpe commenced after the Hall of Fame tight end shared a video promoting his Le Portier Shay cognac during a visit to a chain liquor store. Brown reposted the video on Twitter, derisively labeling it “gay.”
This incident occurred concurrently with Brown’s disparaging remarks about Taylor Swift’s appearance, likening her physique to “a saltine cracker.”
In recent weeks, Brown has also targeted Tom Brady following reports about his ex-wife’s new relationship. Brown posted a picture of himself and Gisele Bundchen with the caption “Did AB know already” accompanied by a winking emoji.
Despite Brown’s jabs, Sharpe has yet to respond to the former NFL player’s provocations.
