Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson is poised to gain recognition not only for his prowess on the field as a dual-threat QB but also for his altruistic acts off the gridiron.
In a heartwarming tale bound to win over more Colts supporters, Richardson recently extended a helping hand to a stranger in need. When a motorist encountered a tire blowout on Interstate 65 in Indianapolis, Richardson didn’t hesitate to pull over and assist, as reported by FOX59 News journalist Eric Graves.
The grateful motorist took to Instagram, sharing a photo alongside the Colts quarterback, and expressed their appreciation in the caption. “Zoe and I had a tire blowout on I-65, and the only man who had the decency to help us was Anthony,” they wrote. “HUGE thank you to this guy and Carl from the emergency transportation department for helping us out. I guess I’m a Colts fan now.”

Drafted as the No. 4 pick in the 2023 NFL draft, Richardson showcased his talent in four games for the Colts before a season-ending shoulder injury sidelined him. Despite the setback, the Florida native displayed promise, tallying 577 passing yards with three touchdowns and just one interception, while also contributing 136 rushing yards and securing a 2–2 record in his abbreviated rookie season.
At just 21 years old, Richardson is making strides in his recovery and was recently captured throwing a football for the first time since his surgery on October 24th.
Notably, amidst his offseason activities, Richardson found the time to lend assistance to a stranded motorist on the highway, solidifying his reputation as not only a skilled athlete but also a compassionate individual – and in the process, winning over a new fan.
