“This is what I do,” Reese said confidently. “I mean, all I needed was an opportunity. Being able to come to Chicago and being able to be a stretch four, and being able to have teammates and coaches surround me with confidence.”
She went on to explain how her teammates and coaches have been encouraging her to shoot more often from beyond the arc. “They tell me all the time to shoot it,” Reese continued. “And a lot of the time during games, I won’t shoot it, just for my own confidence. I know I can make it because I do it in practice… but tonight gave me more confidence… knowing that I can make the shots.”
Reese’s performance on Friday is likely to be a turning point, as she now has the confidence to incorporate more three-point shots into her game. Fans and opponents alike can expect to see more long-range attempts from Reese in the near future.
With her expanding skill set and the unwavering support of her team, Angel Reese is poised to become an even more versatile and formidable player in the WNBA.
As she continues to grow and develop, her ability to stretch the floor and score from beyond the arc will undoubtedly add a new dimension to the Chicago Sky’s offense.
